Product Description

The "Graveyard Song (1901), was probably written as a piece of music to be performed in a minstrel show. It was composed by Robert Hood Bowers, who was a composer for the musical theatre in the early part of the 20th century. The "Graveyard Song, one of Bowers occasional pieces, is a tale of hunting rabbits in a church graveyard at midnight when ghosts and skeletons appear hunting humans.  With new lyrics befitting this decade, this arrangement of Bowers character piece is scored for 4-part SATB ensemble with piano accompaniment. It is a perfect piece for community engagement performances, especially those with a youthful audience.  It is a great piece for Halloween programming. Performance time: 4:25+-
