A student of mine wanted to play a whole piece with just 2 fingers. I wrote this piece for him and the compromise we made was that I would write the piece, but he had to use the thumb in the second to last note. Ever since, students have enjoyed playing Ra-ta-ta-ta-ta (which is the "words to rhythm" we used).
