Product Description

Also sprach Zarathustra, Op. 30Ā  Thus Spoke Zarathustra or Thus Spake Zarathustra) is a tone poem by Richard Strauss, composed in 1896 and inspired by Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophical 18831885 novel Thus Spoke Zarathustra. The composer conducted its first performance on 27 November 1896 in Frankfurt. A typical performance lasts thirty-three minutes.

The initial fanfare titled "Sunrise" in the composer's programme notes became well known after its use in Stanley Kubrick's 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey. This arrangement is a great "Opener" for Brass Band Cncerts.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
