Product Description

Born in Breslau, Moritz Moszkowski studied in Dresden and Berlin. Today he is known as the teacher of Sir Thomas Beecham and also through the legendary performances of his Étincelles by Vladimir Horowitz. From 1897 until his death in 1925, he lived in Paris, having neither success nor money. His Guitarre is one of two piano pieces Opus 45 and has been subject to various arrangements for strings. Cellist Martin Rummel in his transcription adds some virtuoso touch to Moszkowskis own version for cello and piano, as previously done by Gregor Piatigorsky.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
