Product Description

The Wellerman sea shanty was a song written by New Zealand whalers about their trials in daily life. The lyrics talk about having to work hard and wait for provisions brought to them by the Wellerman, a ship coming from the Weller Brothers trading company. This arrangement for saxophone quartet is easily playable by middle and high school groups. In the concert key of Eb. This piece is lively and bouncy and should be played with mostly short eighth notes. Play out the accents and really make this piece pop. The optional repeat and drum parts just add to the fun.

Written for the Max Quartet
