This is a Big Band arrangement of the Beatles 1967 hit from the Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hears Club Band album. Originally written by Paul when he was about 14 in 1956. For the recording, the song was recorded in a key different from the final version; it was sped up at the request of McCartney to make his voice sound younger. As it is in the original version arranged by George Martin in which the Clarinet was a predominant instrumental voice, this chart features Clarinet on the main melody and written or improvised solo. In addition, it also features a written or improvised Trumpet solo. Written in the original Cut Time feel of 2 it is a swing chart aimed at an intermediate band level suitable for high school and collge bands and sure to be a crowd favourite.
