The incidental music to
LArlésienne, a play by Alphonse Daudet, was composed by Georges Bizet (1838-1875), and it premièred in 1872. The composer chose four orchestral pieces from the score and arranged a concert suite, known today as the 1st suite. In this transcription, (#4)
Carillon is transposed down a half step from the original key.
