Waves is a piece for solo piano. The piece is a representation in sound of the tide going back and forth in the ocean,
getting stronger and stronger over time before resetting to its baseline strength. Over a steady bass line harmonies
are constantly changing. The rhythm stays consistent with slight ebbs and flows. The chords get more and more
dense, from triads to seventh chords to ninth chords, like the tide gradually growing stronger, before eventually
dissipating at the end of the piece, returning to simple triads and ending on a C chord.
