'Lujon' from Henry Mancini's 1961 album 'Mr Lucky Goes Latin' arranged for String Quartet by Aaron Bennett. The name Lujon refers to the bass metallophone instrument featured in the orchestral score, which plays the main repeating motif heard throughout. The piece was later adapted into the song 'Slow Hot Wind' and has been heard on various film soundtracks. Retaining all the lazy Latin vibes and jazzy string harmonies of Mancinis original score, this arrangement has been transposed down a semitone for ease of sight-reading and offers musical interest for every player.A gorgeous easy-listening number that would be a welcome addition to any function quartets repertoire! For more arrangements by Aaron Bennett, visit: StringfulScores.com
