Brass Quintet - Scherzo for Tuba Tembo 

The bass instruments are sometimes overlooked when it comes to solo repertoire so Tembo is a fun piece designed to feature the bass tuba. 

Tembo is an African word for elephant and this piece was inspired by the famous bass solo The Elephant from Saint-Saëns Carnival of the Animals 

This arrangement allows the bass to shine over the whole range of the instrument in a playful way as indicated by the term Scherzo. 

Parts included in the download: 

Bass tuba soloist
1st Trumpet
2nd Trumpet
Horn in F
Trombone 

Substitute parts are included for Eb Bass, (treble clef) Bb Trombone, (treble clef) and Eb Horn. 

(The arrangement is also available as a tuba solo with piano accompaniment and also in arrangements for Bassoon and Double Bass)
