Product Description

The University of Southern Mississippi is a wonderful school (and has a wonderful school of music) located in Hattisberg, Misssissippi. The academics are amazing, the professers are nice and fun to work with, and the music professers give private lessons! To give this school some payback, I have created a peice entitled "Southern Pride" for trombone octet and opener. The peice starts with some improvising on an arpeggigator synth, before starting the peice in a chorale setting. Then suddenly, the contrabass trombone comes in with a roaring rhythm. We then get melodic fragmentation (the use of splitting a theme up) and melodic styles. The middle is a slower corale representing the love of Southern Miss. I posess. and the end is the same as the beginning.
