ABBA's The Winner Takes It All is up there as one of the finest pop ballads of all time. It was recorded in 1980, the same year that Agnetha and Ulvaeus devorced. The song topped the chart in the UK in 1980, and peaked at number 8 in the US. It also reaced number 1 in Belgium, Ireland, the Nederlands, and South Africa.
In my solo piano arrangement on an intermediate level the R.H. playes the melody and the L.H. playes the bass line. The counter melody alternates between the two hands.
