This piece is "Gioioso con eleganza" (joyful with elegance.) In the key of C, this piece opens with first inversion broken C chords above the staff. The melody is in the left hand with a high broken chord accompaniment in the right hand. At various places, the left hand needs to cross over the right. At the end, there is a long trill to be performed with the right hand. The damper pedal is used throughout.
