The Boys of Bluehill is a simple melodic hornpipe that lends easily to ornamentation and is a great tune to use for teaching beginner musicians and introducing them to the specific hornpipe rhythm. Its a tune that is very well known for being played for the accompaniment of Irish dancers. It has been included in over a 1,000 tune books and has been given various different names down through the years such as The Lads of North Tyne and The beaux of Oak Hill. Hope you enjoy my own version
