This example of FAST Blues in Bb was designed to support students with Limited Range yet who still have the chops to perform challenging technical melodic lines. Students are encouraged to study this example and find a little section they can use as topic sentences to create their own solo. The idea is to help spark creative processing and understanding of jazz phrasing & articulation. The range is set so that the entire band can rehearse sections of these solos together. Enjoy!
