This is a medium easy concert band arrangement of a Hebrew folk song frequently used at Hanukkah. Unlike most arrangements of music for Hanukkah, this is based on a flowing yet haunting melody. Keeping with tradition, it has eight verses. Counter melodies are added to keep the piece interesting while the melody is passed throughout the band. This is an excellent work for inclusivity while not following the stereotype of Jewish music in so many arrangements.
