Each movement employs an element of serial technique, usually a kind of "interval serialism" whereby the melodic material is entirely (or nearly so) developed from the character of specific intervals. Each piece foregrounds a different character and tone, making for a delightful short suite in any recital or program. Total duration: 7-8 minutes.
