World Cup Blues will be one of the songs as part of a solo piano album as well as a music book I am working on. I wrote it in 1990 when my home country England lost to Germany on penalties in the semi final of the World Cup. The song is dedicated to everyone who has suffered through their team losing the game in a penalty shoot out. It has a 12 bar blues progression with more sophisticated chords than a typical 12 bar blues progression.
