Product Description

The melody of Skylark was written some time before the wistful lyrics were added by Johnny Mercer. The singer is looking for love and asks the skylark to look out for a special person for him/her. This arrangement introduces some decorative bird-like trills and twitters in the second verse, which together with the rather unusual (original) harmonies of the middle eight and some tricky rhythms, make this a bit more difficult to play than some other Carmichael songs, but it should still be within the reach of Grade V or VI level players.
