Silent Night was composed in 1818 by Franz Xaver Gruber in Austria. It was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2011. This arrangement introduces the tune in a lyrical way. Then, it will be repeated with the waltz accompaniment. This arrangement is suitable for amateur players who have played the instrument for around 1 year. For Violin 3rd, Viola, Cello and Double Bass, the range is within one octave. Suggested fingerings and bowings are provided.
