Product Description

Still, still, still is an Austrian Christmas carol and lullaby. The melody is a folk tune from Salzburg. The tune appeared for the first time in 1865 in a folksong collection of Vinzenz Maria Süß (18021868), founder of the Salzburg Museum. There are various English translations but this one is my own and I have tried to stay close to the original German version supporting the idea of a lullaby, a mother trying to get her baby off to sleep. I have added a fourth verse which is essentially the first verse but with the words changed so that the baby is now sleeping. Score available
