St. Anne's Reel is currently recognized as an old-time, bluegrass, New England and French-Canadian tune with many variations played on a number of instruments including the fiddle, mandolin, and penny whistle. It is arranged here for a Intermediate String Trio (two violins and a cello). This lively rendition provides each player a chance to play solos and fun riffs as the melody jumps from one instrument to the next while the others harmonize. McIntire specializes in arranging fiddle tunes for string ensembles. Other arrangements of her folk tunes available for string ensembles at this site include Flowers of Edinburgh and Childgrove. A score as well as separate sheets for each instrument is provided.
