Product Description

Catalonia has a great tradition of Christmas carols, rather like Austria. They are secular songs in general, intended to be sung by anybody at any time during the Christmas period and not specifically for use in church. According to the writer Joan Amades (1890-1959), who was curator at the Museu DIndustries I Arts Populars in Barcelona, these Christmas songs were sung by shepherds at the doors of the churches on Christmas Eve, some of the melodies date back to the 15th century. This is a full score of all three carols for reference purposes.
