Product Description

Advancing trombonists will enjoy this fun song from the 50s. Originally recorded by the Gaylords in 1954 and Petula Clark in the 60s, the song tells the story of a cobbler (little shoemaker) thinking of his heart-throb while he works at making shoes for her dance in: tap-tap-tap-tap-tap. This pop tune from days gone by is suitable for pops concerts, outdoor events and other special occasions. Dynamics should be observed carefully, especially when the Bass has the lead. Staccato passages need not be too short; they should imitate the shoemakers tap-tap-tap. First trombone goes to high Ab; Bass needs a good low C (below the staff).
