An arrangement for classical string quintet of the beautiful Scottish folk song and lament performed for HM Queen Elizabeth's, and Prince Philip's, Memorials. This arrangement is inspired by lone pipers, with a bagpipe drone effect, so that one feels their movement as they proceed slowly through the cathedral. The arrangement can be played as a quartet or quintet, that is, with or without the contrabass part.
