Originally released in 1985, Running Up That Hill reached the top of the charts in 2022 after being featured on the Netflix series, Stranger Things. Violin 1 and Viola 1 are identical parts to offer melody to strong violists. Range is D string to D on the A string with only two low 2 fingerings. Violin 2 and Viola 2 are not identical, but both provide harmony with a range from D string to B on the A string. Violin 2 has a few notes on the G string. Cello and Bass add a bass line and exciting driving rhythm. Cello range is from C (natural- no extended 4) to B on the A string. Bass range is from C (natural) on the A string to E on the D string. (no shifting)
