Product Description

The Prelude from J. S. Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 might be the single most famous composition that was ever written as a solo piece for cello.
Of course, it also sounds quite beautiful when it is played on the piano!

Each of the six cello suites (probably composed around 1720) begins with a prelude, followed by several baroque dances (such as Allemande, Sarabande, and Gigue).
The suites were mostly unknown until the 20th century, when they were popularized by great cellists such as Pablo Casals, Yo-Yo Ma, and János Starker (the latter two both winning Grammy Awards for their recordings).

The Prelude from the Cello Suite No. 1 became widely used in films and TV, and is now one of the most famous classical melodies.
It certainly makes for a wonderful piano version!
