A suite of four selections from Edvard Grieg's Op. 12, the popular first volume of "Lyric Pieces" for piano. The pieces are transposed into friendly keys for intermediate to advanced players. Album Leaf (Albumblad) has the flavor of Norwegian folk music. Waltz (Vals) is a French waltz with a Norwegian accent. Arietta is a sweet and gentle lullaby, one of Grieg's favorite melodies. Elves' Dance (Alfedans) depicts mischievous little beings from Norwegian folklore. It's a delightful concert piece or encore.
