This is the earliest recording of the original version of William Hawley's Six Dickinson Settings, composed for the vocal ensemble Talisman, who gave the Premiere performance of the work in St. Paul's Chapel, New York City, in 1987. The recording has been edited by the composer from the initial rehearsals, and differs from the published version of the score in several respects (keys, some rhythmic values). The published score of the work in the Composer's Edition is available at SMP Press, with complete recording by the Los Angeles Chamber Singers as the audio clip ( https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/six-dickinson-settings-digital-sheet-music/20676062 ). The work is also included on The Choral Arts Northwest album, Shall We Gather At The River: Choral Music of William Hawley on Gothic Records ( https://www.amazon.com/Hawley-Shall-We-Gather-River/dp/B00FAF1Y7I ).
