Product Description

This is a quick, upbeat, very energetic piece. It is in one movement only - typical of that time and place (another example would be all the Scarlatti sonatas, which were very often in one movement only). Seixas was an 18th century Portuguese composer. He was writing music in Portugal at the same time Bach was in Germany, Handel in England, and Scarlatti in Italy (and later in Spain). Seixas' music definitely sounds Baroque, but he has his own distinctive style.
