Duration: 7'15" (2003). This is one of my "24 Interludes" for piano Op. 71. The title "Convention Deficit" pretty much describes the piece. I would venture to say there is nothing quite like it (except for other works by the same comproviser). This piece is an excellent example of how traditional tonality is processed through a corrupted and irreverent 21st-century musical mind.
