Scored for standard big band/stage band (AATTB saxes x4 trumpets x4 trombones and rhythm section) Las vacaciones Cubanas de Barbie (Barbie's Cuban Vacation) also includes an optional flute/piccolo part and multiple percussion parts that can be utilised in larger ensemble settings. A solo is written out (with chords for optional ad lib) for either the 2nd trumpet or flute/piccolo. The 1st trumpet and 1st trombone parts contain optional 8va sections, percussion have a small feature section, and rhythm section parts have been written with accessibility in mind.
