CONSOLATIONS for Flute and Piano features a beautiful and peaceful melody inspired by Psalm 94:19 ~ "When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul." It is dedicated to Peggy Bair, Principal Flute, U.S. Navy Band, who served for 30 years. This lovely piece incorporates a 4-measure fragment from the beloved "Consolation" from Song Without Words by Felix Mendelssohn. An optional cut is included to be used for church offertories as needed.
