Product Description

Opus/Catalog Number: B.133 ; Op.P2-10
Key/Tone: E flat Major
Movements/Sections: Sostenuto
Year/Date of Composition: 1840
Difficulty: Grade 6/12 (Intermediate)
Obs.: This piece is the shortest of all of Chopin's waltzes. The autograph was discovered only in 1941 by Dr. Jacques Chailley in an album belonging to Emile Gaillard, a friend and pupil of Chopin.
As the composer gave no title to this piece except for the dedication to Emile Gaillard, it is sometimes referred to as Albumleaf. Originally, the term Albumleaf was indeed used for pieces written in dedication to a friend or pupil, to be inserted into their album or autograph book, and not primarily intended for publication.
The autograph of this piece is signed F.F. Chopin, Paris, 20 juillet 1840.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
