This arrangement starts out with the song's original melodic sequence its diminished contours suggesting an altered turnaround progression leading into the A section. Throughout the arrangement, the right-hand melody is supported by various comping devices in the left, such as rootless voicings, walking bass lines, stride patterns, unison doubling, and that distinctive four-to-the-bar Garner strum. Concluding the arrangement, a tritone substitution of the dominant (V) chromatically resolves to the tonic (I), where finally two superimposed diminished chords provide a subtle nod to the intro.
