A Fig for a Kiss is the first of three movements of An Irish Suite. It is based on a "slip jig" in triple compound time. I have written all three movements to reflect the spirit and passion of Irish traditional music. An Irish Suite has been performed in Fribourg, Switzerland by Union Instrumentale de Fribourg, in Canada by the University of Victoria Wind Symphony, and by the Duntroon and Royal Adelaide Army Bands in Australia.
