Ring Out, Ye Bells! is a Christmas Carol scored for SATB a cappella choir and is based on the text: 'Christmas Carol' by Paul Laurence Dunbar (1872-1906).
The work is written in a tuneful and commercial traditional style (with just an ever so slight nod to 'O Come, all Ye Faithful' in the intro). It is scored at an intermediate performers level.
After the short tutti introduction, the main theme is presented solely by unison sopranos, the carol then builds gradually into a full harmonic structure with occasional divisions in some of the voices.
The mp3 audio recording is a piano version to aid with rehearsals (only).
