They were delicate and didn't have a lot of dynamic range. Some had a two keyboard layer with each having a different volume, hence there are only two dynamics in the song to be true to the era. If you have a keyboard with a harpsichord setting, it's fun to use. Be careful to watch fingering and no pedal throughout.
