Product Description

Three Pieces for Solo Saxophone is a triptych of pieces written in the style based on their title, and influenced by the styles implied by their titles.  Movement I - Calliope refers to the circus organs and instruments found on steamboats during that era. Movement II, influenced by Mahler's use of 'Frere Jacques' his Symphony No. 1, movement II is a somber ballad, while Movement III - Rag is inspired by the ragtime style of the early 1900's.
