This composition is mostly in d minor with the theme carried in unison by the saxes. A nice contrapuntal line accompanies them played by the trombones. The Brass take over at the bridge. Saxes and brass give and take until the whole ensemble sends the tenor sax off in a solo section. The piece builds throughout with a big coda ending by the whole group.
