May be performed like this or a cappella. Soprano descant by Katie Tangetti. In performance, the last note is held through the next measure while the choir is tacit. The premiere performance by the Syracuse Chorale
at St Paul's Cathedral, directed by Warren Ottey, used organ for support rather than piano and very effectively substituted chimes for the soprano descant.
