Product Description

This Suite was composed in 2015 and consists of three movements for Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, and Bassoon. The work is 15 minutes in length. The first movement structured upon traditional chording formatted around a 20th century chord sequence: a circle of thirds. The second movement acts as a transition between the longer first and third movements, but still exists as something all its own, employing intricate rhythmic counterpoint between the parts. The third movement is the most difficult and the most complex, both because of the tempo and because of its structure-as the movement continues to approach its conclusion, it gains more layers and transitional phrases that help the work to come to a finale.
