Viola part only - This piano trio performs as a dramatic battle between the Violist and Cellist to have the "last word", or in this case, the last note, and "win" the overall piece. The exciting and fast-paced musical dialogue between the two players is interrupted by a series of expressive but furious cadenzas, which builds to a series of unsuspecting climaxes.
