This choral arrangement of the hymn climaxes in each verse with the wonderful reality that Gods love has filled the believers heart. The poetic expression of Gods love and grace in the text, which is based on Romans 5, is matched fully by the beautiful melody paired with a Dorian harmony.
The SATB arrangement is appropriate for choral singing at the high school or collegiate level or above with piano accompaniment. Patient, sensitive, and minimal accompaniment frames the mood for the ensemble, allowing full exposure and expression of the full love of God in their hearts. Tenor and Soprano highlights in the first two verses would also work well as soli.
