A short piece for mixed ensemble, inspired by the Japanese folk song of the same name. 'Sakura' is the Japanese word for cherry blossom. This piece was written and performed for the annual commemoration of the Hiroshima bombing in Coventry Cathedral, 6th August 2016. The scoring allows for either Horn or Alto Saxophone according to availability or preference - only one should be used and only a single player is required for that part.
