Drops of Brandy

This is one of the best-known tunes in the whole of Irish traditional music. It is a slip jig, that is, it is in 9/8 time, comprising three dotted crotchet (8th note) beats. Note that unlike nearly all 6/8 jigs, slip jigs generally have 4-bar parts (repeated).

Drops of Brandy usually has two parts the first two parts here. I wrote the variations for a mandolin student to perform in an exam.
