Product Description
I created this rhythm workbook to provide my own beginning piano students with ways to practice rhythm isolated from concerns about pitch. This book focuses on rhythm ear training as well as on reading rhythms.
Each section of the book introduces a new note or rest and includes these exercise types:
*clapping single rhythms
*tapping 2 rhythms with 2 hands
*multiple-choice ear training
*dictation ear training
Teacher: You will play or tap the ear training exercises for your students to write down.
Topics covered:
*quarter, half, and whole notes and rests
*basic rhythm concepts, such as meter, beat, measure, and bar line
All time signatures in this book use the quarter note as the beat, and the beats per measure range from 2 up through 8.
Use this workbook with your music students (piano or otherwise) to give them clear, engaging practice with rhythm. Have them clap, tap, sing, or step the rhythms. If you have percussion instruments available then use those, too!
