Named after the volcano Mount Etna, Etna is a quartet for Paint Drumming.
It is written with the visual effect of paint drumming, where drummers put paint, water or other mediums on the drum to create a visual effect when striking the drum.

The composition works with and without the visual effect and focuses on groovy polyrhythms and moving lines across the parts. It is a challenging piece for every level of ensemble.
