In the II Book of Platos Republic (359a - 360d), the myth of The ring of Gyges is mentioned. A shepherd finds a golden ring which, if he turned it inwards, made it invisible; if he turned it outwards, it became visible. With the magic of the ring, which made him invisible before the law, he seduced the sovereigns wife, and with her help, killed it and seized power.
The ethics of the one who does evil only when no one is seeing it, is no more virtuous than that of the other who practices it by showing off. Knowing that they are invisible to the law, both the just and the unjust follow the same path, since wherever anyone thinks that, because of his invisibility, he can be unjust with security, there he is diabolically unjust.
The generating complex of the work is {1,4,2,5} {6} {9,7} plus {5,9} for the first movement, {5,8} for the second and {9} for the third.
