This march-like impromptu was composed based on a short improvisation fragment in mm. 1-2. The piece was composed as an ironic funeral march because the composer's employer, Concordia University-Portland, would be closing in April 2020 after 115 years in business. The impromptu quotes the Concordia song, "They'll Know We Are Christians By Our Love," near the end. This is the second of 31 impromptus available as of September 2024 by this composer.
